If you haven’t owned a hot tub before then you may need to know how to remove and clean your filter. Thankfully it is a relatively simple task. Drain your hot tub completely, locate the filter and remove it from the hot tub by pulling or twisting it. Usually, your filter can be adequately cleaned by running it under a garden hose. This should be done 1-2 times a month. Before replacing it is recommended that it is soaked in the cleaning fluid recommended for your tub, at least once every few months.
Hot Tub Filters
One of the most important components of your Miami Spas hot tub is the filter. These handy gadgets keep the water in your hot tub clean and particle-free and help to minimise dirt and bacteria. Over time contaminants can build up in your hot tub water, even things like natural oils from your skin or residue from sun cream and moisturisers can get into the water. Hot tub filters are usually designed as easily replaceable cartridges that simply pull or twist out of the unit and are then replaced by a new filter. Dirt and particles that are trapped in the filter remain there until they are removed so regular cleaning is important for performance, cleanliness and longevity.
Important – If you own a Barcelona or Tokyo hot tub, please head to the FAQs to identify your model year.
