Almost £5,000 raised for Fibromyalgia Action UK

Over the past 12 months we have donated £5 to Fibromyalgia Action UK for every hot tub and swim spa sold directly through Miami Spas. 

In total we raised £4,968 through hot tub sales and fundraising activities.  All donations went directly to our official company charity Fibromyalgia Action UK.

Fibromyalgia Action UK exists to increase awareness of the condition throughout the UK and elsewhere, as well as improve the awareness of, and access to treatments for fibromyalgia.

What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes pain all over the body (also referred to as widespread pain), sleep problems, fatigue, and often emotional and mental distress. People with fibromyalgia may be more sensitive to pain than people without fibromyalgia. This is called abnormal pain perception processing. The cause of fibromyalgia is not known, but it can be effectively treated and managed.

Soaking in warm water and exercise are among the many ways to reduce the intensity and frequency of fibromyalgia symptoms. Relaxing in a hot tub is a well-known way to ease muscular stiffness and soreness. Additionally, a routine soak can also help relieve stress; an intensifier of fibromyalgia symptoms.
